At this age, little learners need consistent energy to play, explore, and learn—and these healthy snacks have helped us create a more comfortable and focused environment for everyone.\r\n\r\nWe use the snacks during our daily routine, especially mid-morning and in the afternoon when energy starts to dip. One special moment happened during circle time after snack—students who are usually wiggly and distracted were able to sit, listen, and participate more calmly. They sang along, answered questions, and stayed engaged much longer than before. It showed just how important it is for their growing bodies to be nourished.\r\n\r\nWhen the snacks first arrived, the children were so excited! Their eyes lit up as we unpacked everything together. They were eager to try new foods and proudly talked about what they were eating. It also gave us a wonderful opportunity to practice sharing, taking turns, and using polite words like \"please\" and \"thank you.\"\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are using this opportunity to introduce simple lessons about healthy eating. Students are learning to recognize different foods and talk about how they help our bodies grow strong. We will continue to build these habits through our daily routines, helping students develop both independence and healthy choices. Your generosity has supported not just their learning, but their overall well-being—and we are so grateful!","fullyFundedDate":1764007137690,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-minds-with-healthy-snacks/9650176/","projectTitle":"\"Fueling Minds with Healthy Snacks!\"","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. MJ","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9476402"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_42563","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":142,"numTeachers":13,"percentFrplEligible":40,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":92,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":7,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"10.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":43.5,"schoolId":42563,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Nuiqsut Trapper School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Nuiqsut Trapper School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/alaska/north-slope-borough-school-district/nuiqsut-trapper-school/42563"}
