Thanks to our donors, my students now have access to a treadmill that gives them another opportunity to stay active, build healthy habits, and understand the connection between physical activity and mental well-being.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the treadmill, they were excited and curious. For many of them, having new fitness equipment in our school was a unique experience. It quickly became something they wanted to use, and it opened conversations about exercise, personal wellness, perseverance, and taking care of our bodies.\r\n\r\nWe are using the treadmill as part of our physical activity and wellness routines. Students are learning that being healthy is not only about physical strength but also about developing habits that can support their focus, energy, confidence, and overall well-being. The treadmill also provides students with an opportunity to set personal goals and challenge themselves at their own pace.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue incorporating the treadmill into our regular activities while helping students develop sustainable habits that they can carry beyond the classroom. I want my students to recognize that taking care of their bodies can also help them take care of their minds.\r\n\r\nI am incredibly grateful to the donors who made this possible. In our rural Alaska community, access to fitness resources can be limited, so this treadmill is more than just equipment; it is an opportunity for my students to move, grow, and build healthier futures.","fullyFundedDate":1777990842665,"projectUrl":"project/strong-bodies-healthy-minds/9995690/","projectTitle":"Strong Bodies, Healthy Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Renz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9167379_orig.jpg?crop=625,625,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1786512427631","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9167379"},{"teacherId":9167379,"projectId":10007889,"letterContent":"The \"Building Artists: Supplies for Creative Learning\" project has given my students more opportunities to express themselves, explore their creativity, and discover that art can be a powerful way to communicate their ideas and experiences.\r\n\r\nWhen the new art supplies arrived, my students were excited to see the variety of materials available to them. Having access to quality supplies encouraged them to experiment with different techniques rather than feeling limited by what was available. For some students, art became a space where they could take risks, make mistakes, and create something that was uniquely their own.\r\n\r\nWe have been using the materials for classroom art activities that focus on creativity, visual expression, and developing artistic skills. Students have been able to experiment with color, composition, lettering, and different forms of visual design while developing patience and attention to detail.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue building their artistic skills through new projects that allow students to explore different styles and techniques. I hope to create opportunities for students to display and share their work so they can take pride in what they have created and see themselves as artists.\r\n\r\nI am incredibly grateful to the donors who made this project possible. They carefully unpacked each item, asking questions and sharing ideas about what we would grow and observe. Many of them were amazed that they would get to learn biology by working with real plants, not just pictures in a book.\r\n\r\nWe are now using these resources to explore plant life cycles and basic biology concepts through hands-on activities. One special moment was watching students gently plant seeds and eagerly check them each day for changes. They enjoy measuring growth, recording observations, and talking about why plants need sunlight, water, and care. Students who usually struggle to stay engaged are now more focused and proud of their work.","fullyFundedDate":1762823313505,"projectUrl":"project/growing-curiosity-lab-kits-and-plants-f/9761931/","projectTitle":"Growing Curiosity: Lab Kits and Plants for Young Biologists","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Renz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9167379_orig.jpg?crop=625,625,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1786512427631","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9167379"},{"teacherId":9167379,"projectId":9759153,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting our project, \"Powering Physics: Hands-On Learning for the Future.\" Your kindness has truly made a difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, my students were excited and curious right away.
