With your donations I was able replace much of the aging equipment for our salmon tank along with an easel to showcase the salmon stage and current CTUs. \r\n\r\nThis project is important because it enables students to watch the salmon life cycle happening in their own classroom. Salmon are a crucial resource in our community and surrounding watershed. Building knowledge and understanding of the species is key and most memorable when done in a hands-on way. \r\n\r\nMath, science and responsibility are all wound together as we make observations, check the maintenance and keep track of the daily temperature units which determine the stage and health of the salmon. \r\n\r\nWe would not have been able to successfully launch this program again this year without your support.
