During whole-group lessons, I am able to model problem-solving strategies in real time using digital math tools and virtual manipulatives. Students can see concepts unfold step by step, which helps them make stronger connections and understand not just what to do, but why it works.\r\n\r\nIn small group instruction, the laptop allows me to provide targeted support. I can quickly pull up student data, identify skill gaps, and adjust instruction immediately. Instead of guessing where students need help, I now use real-time data to guide focused interventions and enrichment.\r\n\r\nMy students especially love the interactive programs and digital practice opportunities. Math feels more engaging and accessible. They are more willing to take risks, participate in discussions, and explain their thinking. I have noticed increased confidence, improved accuracy, and stronger problem-solving habits.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students who need additional support, visuals and interactive tools have made abstract concepts more concrete. The ability to display models, number lines, arrays, and fraction tools instantly has strengthened understanding and reduced frustration.\r\n\r\nThis project has not just added technology to our classroom. It has increased engagement, improved instruction, and supported measurable academic growth. Your investment has directly impacted how my students experience math every single day.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping us power math success.","fullyFundedDate":1760453366534,"projectUrl":"project/a-laptop-to-power-math-success/9685137/","projectTitle":"A Laptop to Power Math Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Pitts","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9690014_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1772551977174","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9690014"},{"teacherId":10425515,"projectId":10075450,"letterContent":"Because of your generosity, my students now have access to high-quality decodable texts that are truly changing the way they experience reading.\r\n\r\nMany of our donors love reading but may not realize how much skill-building happens behind the scenes as children learn to read. These new books allow us to explicitly practice phonics skills such as decoding short and long vowel patterns, digraphs, blends, and vowel teams. Instead of guessing at words or relying only on pictures, my students are learning how to break words apart, apply sound-spelling patterns, and read with confidence and accuracy. These texts directly support the foundational skills that research shows are essential for strong, lifelong readers.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom looks intentional and empowering. During small group intervention, students whisper-read, track print with their fingers, and practice decoding word by word. You can hear them stretching sounds, blending carefully, and even self-correcting when something doesn't sound right. What once felt frustrating now feels achievable. Students are building fluency, expression, and most importantly, confidence.\r\n\r\nI have several students who are especially thriving with these new books. One student who previously avoided reading aloud now eagerly volunteers during group time because the texts match her skill level. These books are meeting students where they are and giving them the tools to grow.","fullyFundedDate":1770428787899,"projectUrl":"project/decodable-books-to-build-confident-k3-r/10075450/","projectTitle":"Decodable Books to Build Confident K–3 Readers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Haggerty","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10425515_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1770468432162","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10425515"},{"teacherId":9272672,"projectId":8809276,"letterContent":"This project has made a meaningful difference in how my students learn and how I am able to support them in the classroom. The laptop allows me to plan more engaging lessons, access digital resources, and provide interactive activities that help bring learning to life. The printer has been especially helpful in giving students hands-on materials, such as practice sheets, reading passages, and small-group activities, so they can apply what they learn both on the screen and on paper.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is seeing their work come to life. They love receiving freshly printed materials that feel personalized just for them, whether it's a math activity, a reading response sheet, or a certificate celebrating their progress.
