Our classroom rug is the center of our classroom community and is used daily. Every morning, we sit on our new rug and recite our class promise and say our class affirmations. We take turns answering questions about each other and share the things we are thankful for. Each day this year, I think of you and your generosity and am able to say that I am thankful for you. Thank you for providing this essential element of our classroom. \r\n\r\nEach circle on this rug represents a student who is learning and growing in my classroom. They sit on their circle and they practice their phonics skills. They sit on their circle and they discuss math concepts and deepen their understanding of how numbers work. They sit on their circle and deepen their relationships with each other. \r\n\r\nAt centers, a group of students gather on the rug to work on task cards, play learning games, and read together. Because of you, they have a clean, comfortable place to sit and deepen their learning together. \r\n\r\nI truly believe a classroom rug is an essential part of a classroom and I am so grateful to have a beautiful, new rug for my students to use.
