My students were able to read \"Long Walk to Water\" as our last novel of the year. Previously, students had to share copies of the novel because we had one class set that was split between two teachers. This made it difficult for some students to follow along. The addition of the donated books gave every student a copy to read. \r\nWhile reading, students learned basic skills for language arts, but they also were given the opportunity to think about how life looks in other places of the world.
