These conversations build a sense of community within our classroom that is so beneficial should conflicts or disagreements arise. When students have a deeper connection with their classmates, it makes hard conversations a little easier. We are even able to use situations in the book as guidance for our own conversations. My students can work together to problem-solve and think critically about issues or events happening in our community. This allows them to take these skills out into the world.\r\n\r\nAll of these lessons have been more impactful because we were able to use the books that your donations purchased.
