These picture books will enhance my already text rich classroom. My classroom library is a very important space for me and my students. We spend so much of our day on our carpet in our library. Picture books are for so much more than just reading! As an educator, I am a life-long learner. I have learned the vital role picture books play in teaching theme, morals, diversity, acceptance and more. These books can also teach about character development, sentence structure, figurative language and other conventions. These picture books will serve as amazing mentor texts when students are writing their own stories.
