Because of you, my students now have the incredible opportunity to explore as medical detectives. Students will simulate an outbreak and this experiment will help give them hands on experience and act as an epidemiologist. \r\n\r\nWith your donation, we were able to purchase supplies including E. coli bacteria and various antibiotics and dishes with agar to grow the bacteria. These resources will allow us to engage in a hands-on, real-world experiment to test how bacteria develop resistance to different antibiotics. This experience will lead to meaningful conversations about public health, the importance of responsible antibiotic use, and the role of science in solving complex challenges. \r\n\r\nWatching my students become curious scientists—formulating hypotheses, analyzing data, and drawing conclusions—is inspiring. Their engagement and critical thinking have grown tremendously, and many have shared that this was their favorite lab of the year. Some students even expressed interest in pursuing careers in microbiology, biomedical research and engineering, and healthcare. \r\n\r\nThanks to your support, my students are not just learning about science—they are doing science and how science applies to the real world. \r\n\r\nThank you for supporting my classroom and investing in meaningful educational experiences.
