The large magnetic dry erase board you funded has become the heart of several lessons—I use it to model problems and keep students focused. The small dry erase boards with coordinate grids, along with the mini erasers and Expo markers, have made math practice so much more interactive. Students now grab their boards to solve problems together, share their work, and quickly make corrections, all while staying engaged and having fun.\r\n\r\nI'll never forget their reaction when we opened the boxes. Students were thrilled to see their very own boards and markers, and my eighth graders immediately started graphing points and using it to work Pythagorean Theorem problems. Even my quieter sixth grade students have stepped up, using the big magnetic board to explain how to plot points on a coordinate grid. These resources have not only made math lessons more hands-on but have also built confidence and excitement around learning.\r\n\r\nWe're already planning new activities using these tools, including student-created math challenges and presentations. These will come in handy when my eighth graders get ready to graph slope equations. Thank you for helping me create a classroom where students feel ownership of their learning and look forward to participating. Your support has truly made a lasting difference!","fullyFundedDate":1741350114249,"projectUrl":"project/every-x-has-its-y/8973783/","projectTitle":"Every X Has Its Y","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Janene Ann Benham","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8824334_orig.jpg?crop=870,870,x116,y11&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1667427025449","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8824334"},{"teacherId":9187014,"projectId":9193503,"letterContent":"My class is super grateful for your donation to our class. The class also made an end-of-the-year memory page that looked amazing in color. \r\nMany of those same students will move to 5th grade next year, and I'll be their teacher.
