I have loved using the whiteboards for review games in my health education class. The art supplies has come in handy for designing posters and brochures for our class projects. My advisory has enjoyed using the questions dice to promote SEL in our class to build community. We got all of our supplies right when we came back from holiday break so the kids enjoyed opening all of it saying \"it's like Christmas all over again!\"\r\n\r\nThe supplies has been huge for my class and several teachers who have been able to borrow. With our school getting a budget cut of $300,000 all donations is greatly appreciated. We are a public charter school in the city of Rochester with a large number of our students coming from poverty. It is common for our girls to come to school with not even a pencil. As an educator, we are spending our earned money on the students we care about. The supplies donated to my class and our school is reaching hundreds of girls and we can't thank you enough.","fullyFundedDate":1733288317642,"projectUrl":"project/health-and-wellness-classroom/8685648/","projectTitle":"Health and Wellness Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Budnick","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9695366_orig.jpg?crop=3456,3456,x846,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724267751810","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9695366"},{"teacherId":9695000,"projectId":8685171,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for fully funding my project! As a math teacher I try my best to make my lessons and activities engaging and student friendly. Overall students are not a fan of math and my student's really struggle with math skills and the donation is helping some students do better in my class. \r\n\r\nI would say the most used item so far is the individual white boards that came with the dry erase markers. My school has a couple online programs we use so when students are working on the computers they have loved using the white boards to do their work for each problem. To follow up with that, both online programs we use at my school there are \"learn with an example\" option and also a \"learn with a video\" option. The headphones donated has really helped students stay focused on the help videos to help them with whatever skill they are stuck on.\r\n\r\nAll of the extra school supplies has really come in handy. In general my students start the school year with very minimal school supplies, so the extra lined paper, pens and pencils have really come in handy. Thank you so much for making the learning process more engaging for my students! We really appreciate everything.","fullyFundedDate":1734503726455,"projectUrl":"project/equipping-the-classroom-an-inner-city-t/8685171/","projectTitle":"Equipping the Classroom: An Inner City Teacher's Supply List Project","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mastrella","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9695000"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_103386","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":252,"numTeachers":32,"percentFrplEligible":90,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":63,"percentWhite":13,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":20,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"7.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":75.6,"schoolId":103386,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Young Women's College Preparatory Charter School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Young Women's College Preparatory Charter School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-state-department-education/young-women-s-college-prep-charter-school/103386"}
