Everything has finally arrived, but my students have already begun reading the books. From the first day when boxes started arriving and I opened them, the kids were excited to dive in. The only thing is, I asked them to wait until everything arrives. There was so excitement and joy in the room when I showed them the different books every time they arrived. The vibrant illustrations have also helped us build stronger discussions around empathy, perseverance, and imagination. \r\n\r\nReading in our classroom now feels like an adventure. Some days I read as they're on the floor, and the other days they read themselves. The variety of genres has made it easier to match readers with stories that speak to them personally. Even my bad readers want to read the books. These moments remind me daily how powerful access to the right books can be.
