My students were incredibly excited when they first saw the new art supplies. There is something special about watching their faces light up when they see fresh materials waiting for them and immediately begin wondering what they are going to create. These resources have allowed my students to explore art in a more hands-on way while learning new techniques, experimenting with different materials, and building confidence in their creativity.\r\n\r\nI am using these materials throughout my art classes with students from TK through 8th grade. Students are learning important art concepts such as line, color, texture, shading, painting, drawing, and mixed media while creating projects that allow them to make their own artistic choices. One of my favorite parts has been seeing students proudly show off their finished work and hearing them talk about the choices they made. Even when a project is challenging, they are learning to problem-solve, try again, and understand that artwork does not have to look exactly like someone else's to be successful.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, students will build on these skills through new projects and techniques, with each grade level taking on age-appropriate challenges. We will continue exploring different artists, materials, and styles while preparing artwork that celebrates their growth and creativity. Your support has helped give my students a classroom where they can experiment, create, and feel proud of what they accomplish. Each donation was met with excitement and curiosity.
