The item from this project that they use most often is the adjustable sensory table with lid. We have used this table for water beads, colored sensory rice, and most recently for a themed bin for the very hungry caterpillar story with soft pom poms, plastic leaves, and a stuffed caterpillar. Their favorite interactive story activities are when we read a book from the \"there was an old lady who\" series and use our old lady box. They love being called on to put the item into the old lady's mouth, allowing her to swallow it. By doing this, it helps them to strengthen their comprehension skills by doing this hands on sequencing of the story. I have one student in particular who enjoys reading the national geographic books independently during her independent centers, and with the variety of books that you helped me to provide for them it helps give her access to multiple books throughout the week to ensure that not only does she not get bored with her independent reading, but also helps her to learn more about the world that she lives in and the animals that she shares it with.
