We received kinetic Sand, snow, and Pluffle (an interesting sand material that appears to grow & move when you touch it). The students also find numbers hidden in sand and work on counting and number recognition. \r\n\r\nThe student enjoy playing in the Sensory bin. They create sand castles and take turns using the materials. It gives them a quiet activity to take a break when they may be overwhelmed in their classrooms. I have seen such a huge increase in student engagement, involvement, and friendships forming throughout the class! I remember when we first pulled out the nursing kit, I had a student with specific health problems and she loved to explore the things she was accustomed to and show them to her friends! \r\n\r\nWhen we first pulled out the boxes, the students were so excited to act out different parts of their lives and share them with their friends. We have students who have barbers as parents or recently had to take their pet to the vet. We have been able to increase our understanding and relationships with our students as well with new and fun conversations and home connections. We even had to set up a new small group rotation just because they were so popular and there is nothing like seeing their faces light up as they engage in cooperative play together! \r\n\r\nI am so excited to continue helping them learn and grow through new experiences, share old ones, and prepare for new ones. The kids got excited when they first saw them set up. They immediately started climbing. The trampoline is the most popular item. \r\n\r\nI have the stepping stones and a jump step outside of classroom.
