It is cold and below zero one day and 80 degrees the next. We are still seeing snow this late into April. Your donations have allowed our students to have a fresh pair of shoes on when they are in need. When they arrive to school in boots and have no sneakers, we are able to offer them a pair. Our playground can also get a bit muddy in spring so it helps to have extra shoes on hand for that. \r\n The students were excited to see the shoes when they arrived. They loved the colors and one student grabbed a pair to try on. He found a pair that fit and said, \"these are very comfortable!\". He was thankful for their arrival as he was wearing winter boots for the day. \r\n Donors Choose is an excellent resource for teachers and students. We'd love to let you know what we are working on now in our classrooms. Currently we have a few science projects going on. We have painted lady caterpillars getting ready for their transformation. We have an herb garden that has recently taken off and growing, and we have a worm house that is showing the students how worms are active underground and how they eat and fertilize the dirt. Great things are happening at Woodford School, thank you for being a part of it.","fullyFundedDate":1740539028823,"projectUrl":"project/happy-feet/9090519/","projectTitle":"Happy Feet","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Berard","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6794420_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y386&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1598482006301","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6794420"},{"teacherId":9094635,"projectId":8973018,"letterContent":"The picnic tables were delivered in very early March, when snow was still on the ground. However, with warmer weather the past two weeks, the students have been able to enjoy sitting at the tables.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, not shown in the photos are two additional (red) picnic tables which have been donated. One of our parents will take possession of them this coming week and will bring them to the school. We will then have district maintenance put them together and install them. They are all powder coated and can withstand cold and wet weather.\r\n\r\nThe four tables will seat up to 32 students, allowing all three of our building classes to participate in outdoor learning and events.","fullyFundedDate":1740685788859,"projectUrl":"project/outdoor-classroom/8973018/","projectTitle":"Outdoor Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. KELLEY","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9094635_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y144&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1688835587525","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mr-rkelley"},{"teacherId":9094635,"projectId":8515982,"letterContent":"My apologies for this post coming late.
