The snacks and ticket system have brought so much excitement and positivity to our daily routine. Students look forward to earning tickets for doing the right thing—whether it's wearing their school ID, putting their phone away properly, or jumping in to answer a math question. The suspense of the ticket drawings has become a favorite moment in class, and even students who were once reluctant are now eager to participate. It's amazing to see how something as simple as a granola bar or cookie can motivate students to engage, follow rules, and celebrate each other's successes.\r\nYour support also allowed me to recognize students in a special way through our \"Employee of the Week\" certificates. In addition to the certificate I bought a trophy that is called the \"Top Banana Award.\" Students who are the \"Employee of the Week\" get to keep the trophy on their desk all week. These touches have elevated our classroom business simulation, Alexander Aeronautics and Analytics, and given students a sense of pride in their hard work. The recognition has fostered a stronger classroom culture where students feel valued and motivated to do their best every day. Your donation has truly transformed our learning environment, and I am so grateful for the joy and growth it has brought to my students.\r\nBeyond the daily excitement of tickets, snacks, and certificates, your donation has created a lasting effect in my classroom. Students are not only more motivated to participate in math, but they are also learning the value of responsibility, teamwork, and perseverance. The culture of recognition and celebration has helped build stronger relationships among peers and between students and myself. What once felt like routine classroom management has now become an opportunity for joy, encouragement, and growth. Your generosity has truly elevated our classroom into a place where students feel proud to belong, and I am deeply grateful for the difference you have made in their lives.","fullyFundedDate":1758306535577,"projectUrl":"project/alexander-aeronautics-and-analytics-math/9617028/","projectTitle":"Alexander Aeronautics and Analytics Math Class Business Simulation","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Alexander","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4898668_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760646627668","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4898668"},{"teacherId":6720120,"projectId":9442101,"letterContent":"Words cannot express how grateful I am of your generosity. What once was only written in a textbook or imagined in their minds can now be experienced through interactive activities, visuals, and materials that make the language real. The moment they first saw the donations, their faces lit up with joy and excitement. Many of them immediately began asking, \"Can we use these today?\" It was one of those unforgettable teaching moments when you realize how much of a difference support from others can make.\r\n\r\nThese resources have transformed the way my students engage with the language. Instead of simply repeating vocabulary words or completing worksheets, they are now able to use Spanish in authentic, meaningful contexts. For example, during our recent unit on travel, students worked in groups to design persuasive presentations encouraging others to visit Spanish-speaking destinations. They used the new materials to create visuals, organize their information, and present their ideas with greater confidence. The projects were colorful, dynamic, and—most importantly—student-driven. The energy in the classroom was contagious, and it was inspiring to see students take ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was when a student who is usually shy about speaking in front of others stood up and confidently explained why her chosen destination was the best place to visit. With the support of her peers and the help of the new tools, she found her voice in Spanish. Experiences like this are powerful reminders of how important it is to give students the chance to learn in ways that feel exciting and supportive.\r\n\r\nYour donation also gave students the opportunity to collaborate more effectively. They worked together not only to practice language skills, but also to develop teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity. These are life skills that extend far beyond the Spanish classroom. Several students commented that this was the first time they felt like they were doing \"real work\" in Spanish—work that had meaning and purpose rather than simply being an assignment. That shift in perspective is exactly what every teacher hopes for.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we will continue to build on these projects. The next step for my students is to present their work to their classmates fully in Spanish, practicing both their fluency and their public speaking skills. This not only helps them grow academically, but also builds the kind of confidence that carries over into other subjects and even into their personal lives. I have no doubt that the excitement they felt when first using these resources will continue to inspire them throughout the school year.\r\n\r\nNone of this would have been possible without your kindness and generosity. By supporting this project, you gave my students more than just classroom materials—you gave them opportunities, motivation, and a stronger belief in themselves. On behalf of my students and myself, thank you for investing in their education and for believing in their learning journey. We are deeply grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1749259211471,"projectUrl":"project/latin-voices-representation-culture-an/9395395/","projectTitle":"Latin Voices: Representation, Culture and Identity","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Borja - World Languages Teacher","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8486236_orig.png?crop=271,271,x126,y17&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1656865813503","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8486236"},{"teacherId":7361559,"projectId":5447293,"letterContent":"Thank you for fully funding my Paperless Classroom project. I teach in a Title I high school and we were able to integrate Rocketbook and Frixion pen technology into our classroom. All of my students were new to synthetic paper and Frixion erasable pens. They were able to use the Rocketbook app to scan their work and save it as a PDF, so they always had a timestamped copy of their work. \r\n\r\nThe supplies provided one sheet of reusable Rocketbook paper, one pen and ink refills for the students as they were needed. In that academic year, my students and I established a culture of using little to no paper. This resulted to significantly less waste, less time spent copying and it gave my students the opportunity to exercise responsibility for their supplies.\r\n\r\nMy main goal was to reduce paper waste in my classroom. We also integrated scanning, record keeping, and documentation of assignments in PDF format, which are much smaller files than the pictures students normally take to keep a copy of their work. The Rocketbook paper QR code saves the scan directly to the folder according to the settings the user sets. \r\n\r\nWithout this project, my students would not have had the opportunity to use a new \"low tech\" tool to reduce paper use, but still have the benefits of completing work by hand. It also helped them to maintain records of their work and it taught them how to be responsible for their supplies.","fullyFundedDate":1624543177051,"projectUrl":"project/going-paperless/5447293/","projectTitle":"Going Paperless","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Thomson-Marin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7361559"},{"teacherId":6720120,"projectId":9059479,"letterContent":"My students come from different parts of the world.
