Students at Winona are able to come down now to our break room with many different options to help them regulate and return to class ready to learn, whether that be by moving and gaining focus by balancing on the beams or relaxing by getting a massage in the rocking chair. One of our students was so excited to see the body sock and picks to use it almost every day for his breaks! Students were extremely interested in learning about their heart rate and how it's connected to their emotions. One of our students started to pick break items that he noticed helped reduce his heart rate and keep with his schedule each day. It has also helped those students that are not on regularly scheduled breaks if they are having a rough day.\r\n\r\nWe plan on continuing to personalize each student's specific sensory and movement needs to the break items you have provided to those that need the extra boost throughout their day.
