Our new classroom carpet gives us a fresh, comfortable space to gather as a class, while the bean bag chairs create a cozy spot for students to enjoy books and build a love of reading. The cube chairs are especially helpful for students who need a little extra support finding a safe, comfortable spot during carpet time so they can feel successful and be part of our classroom community.\r\n\r\nThese new resources help me meet the different needs of my students while making our classroom feel like a place where everyone belongs. Whether we are gathering for a read-aloud, practicing new skills, or taking a quiet moment with a book, these materials give students more ways to feel comfortable and ready to learn. As we continue through first grade, we will keep building our reading skills, growing as learners, and learning how to support one another.
