Our class was so excited to receive their white boards. They have become so proud when they each had one of their own to use and it wasn't covered in dark streaks and had bright lines waiting for words.\r\n\r\nThe white boards became more than writing surfaces. They each become active in their learning. They take risks which become teaching moments when they are incorrect and victories when they are correct. They are becoming better readers and writers because they are able to practice their spelling words and new sound spellings.\r\n\r\nAfter reading A Bug and A Wish, my students had tools to help them solve problems with their classmates. Thank you so much for helping me prepare for this school year with all the basics I normally scramble to pull together or just buy myself. It has been so ice to know that the everyday needs of my class are met. This project has given me the freedom to use my limited budget on special needs for my class. \r\n\r\n My students use these items nonstop. Everyday we are using white board markers, glue sticks, and scissors for class assignments and skills practice. We love using the colored pencils and watercolors for art projects. I especially love all the great colored paper which help me make color coded games, stand out parent letters and tools for my students. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for helping to get my year off to a great start. having the basic supplies my students need from the very stat has eased my stress allowed me to provide all my students with tools they need for success.","fullyFundedDate":1754016166383,"projectUrl":"project/basics-to-make-the-year-extraordinary/9475116/","projectTitle":"Basics to Make the Year Extraordinary","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Myers","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3847083_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1486677596918","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3847083"},{"teacherId":2478204,"projectId":9149752,"letterContent":"After 25 years of teaching 2nd and 3rd grades I decided to move to 4th grade.
