Many had never been that close to poultry before, and their curiosity and excitement were contagious. They immediately started asking questions about breeds, egg production, and proper care.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our donors didn't just provide a coop, you gave my students a living laboratory. The next steps include maintaining records on feed, water, and egg production, as well as exploring how poultry fit into sustainable agriculture systems. Students are also planning to share what they've learned with younger classes, turning this into a cross grade teaching opportunity.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this project possible, your support brought learning to life in a way my students will never forget.","fullyFundedDate":1741320049957,"projectUrl":"project/dont-fly-the-coop/9023482/","projectTitle":"Don't Fly the Coop","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Neely","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8312750_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1644873879424","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8312750"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_87094","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":299,"numTeachers":4,"percentFrplEligible":80,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":38,"percentIndigenous":28,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"74.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":45.5,"schoolId":87094,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Wilson School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Wilson School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oklahoma/wilson-school-district-7/wilson-school/87094"}
