It was so exciting to watch the students pair up and learn to code using these Robots. There was a sense of excitement in the room when they learned how to make their robots talk, turn in circles, and follow other commands that they coded them to do. Makerspace is for Kindergarten-5th graders and it was fun to see older students pair with younger students and help them code their robots. The class enjoyed using these to help build their knowledge of math. The flash cards were used for practicing math facts, building their fluency and extending their skills. Second graders were able to extend their learning and many continued beyond second grade level with passing multiplication facts, 0-12, and a few continued their growth by going even further with division facts.\r\n\r\nThe variety of manipulatives encourage an interest and new way to learn.
