Thanks to your funding of the slushie and snow cone machines, our students were able to engage in a fun and creative fundraising effort that directly supported their educational experiences. These machines not only added excitement to our events, but also served as a hands-on lesson in entrepreneurship, allowing students to actively contribute to their own growth and opportunities.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our students were able to raise funds that helped cover costs for their recent trips to architectural landmarks throughout New York City. From exploring iconic structures to engaging with real-world design, these experiences have been invaluable in shaping their understanding of the built environment and inspiring their future paths in architecture and design.\r\n\r\nEven more exciting, the upcoming senior class has now built on this momentum, using the machines to fundraise an additional $1,200 toward next year's Architectural Club and trips. Your support has created a ripple effect, empowering our students not only to dream big but to take action in making those dreams a reality. They know where to find extra copies of assignments for days that they missed and where to turn in their work. \r\n\r\nAdditionally, I was better able to support students because of the organization structure your support gave. I had additional space to store student facing materials, including snacks (which your generous supported also provided) and a first aid kit. \r\n\r\nYour support really helped me set students up for success this second semester, and I know starting those routines in September will help students next year as well.","fullyFundedDate":1735406182526,"projectUrl":"project/mid-year-reset/9020410/","projectTitle":"Mid-Year Reset","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Johnston","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9883633"},{"teacherId":608919,"projectId":9014186,"letterContent":"The students were absolutely thrilled to receive the snow cone machines, and their enthusiasm was contagious. They were so excited that they began brainstorming fundraising ideas immediately, eager to make the most of this new opportunity. The snow cone machines quickly became a hit—not just as a treat, but as a fun and effective way to raise money toward their academic and senior-year experiences.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, students have been able to use these funds to significantly reduce the cost of our upcoming architectural trips. One major highlight is our visit to Manitoga Falls – The Russel Wright Design Center, where students will have the chance to explore the relationship between architecture, nature, and sustainable design. Your support is giving them a unique opportunity to see real-world applications of what they've studied in class—something they would not have been able to do without your help.\r\n\r\nBeyond academics, your donation has made a real difference in helping students lower the costs of their senior activities, including trips and prom. These milestones are incredibly important, and now more students are able to participate without the stress of financial limitations. The snow cone machine fundraisers have truly empowered them to take initiative and contribute toward their own memorable high school experiences.\r\n\r\nAs we approach the end of the school year, the students are looking forward to one last architectural adventure—a visit to The Glass House in Connecticut. This final trip will cap off a year of hands-on learning and discovery, all made possible by your kindness. On behalf of all our students and staff, thank you once again.
