All of the supplies you funded for our classroom has already been so incredibly helpful. Before receiving the smiley face rug, I would tell my students to go to the \"invisible rug.\" Students weren't spaced out well and didn't have specific spots to sit. They were all SO excited when the rug came in! We started the day off without the rug and when the students came back from lunch, one student said \"do we go to the invisible rug?!\" They were so shocked and excited to see an actual rug! Now with the smiley face rug, the students know to sit on a smiley face and only one student per smiley. Not to mention, how cute and inviting it looks! \r\n\r\nThe calming strips, calming/breathing lamp and fidgets have come in handy as well! I have one student in particular that was out of the classroom a lot last school year for \"reset breaks\". Now, she instead takes those breaks in the classroom in a designated calming area. \r\n\r\nMy students and I are so incredibly grateful. This is all possible due to your generous donations! I think sometimes they think that nothing is a big deal but things like the excitement I've seen when I've told both of my blocks about this coming has proven that isn't really the case.
