The old projector was not very bright, and we needed to turn off the lights just so students could read the screen. The font appeared blurry on the screen, too, and students had a difficult time distinguishing between plus and division signs whenever I posted problems on the board. The pen with the original was not calibrated well and was hard to use since what I wrote didn't always show on the screen.\r\n\r\nThe brand-new projector, though, is absolutely amazing! It is so bright, and everything looks crisp and colorful on it. It came with two pens, and the students love being able to write on the board with the pens. When I ask for volunteers to show their thinking to a math problem on the board, everyone's hand goes up eagerly awaiting the opportunity. It's also a favorite activity during indoor recess and saves my dry erase markers from running out of ink now that students draw with the pens instead.
