Along with the button maker, it has turned design into something hands-on and exciting. Students used the cutter to prepare their artwork, whether they were drawing their own designs or choosing images that represent their interests. One of our favorite moments was when graduating students created custom buttons for graduation, giving them something personal to celebrate their time at school.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, students were immediately curious and eager to try them out. There was a lot of excitement as they realized how clean and professional their designs could look with the circle cutter. It didn't take long before students were making buttons to show school and team spirit—cheering on sports teams with \"Go Knicks!\" designs—and creating pieces that reflected who they are. The process boosted their confidence and made them proud of what they were able to create.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're excited to keep building on this momentum in the library. Students will continue using these tools to support creative projects that connect to what they're learning and what matters to them. We're planning to expand into themed projects and opportunities for students to design for school events or share messages with the larger community. With these resources, students are not only being creative, but also finding new ways to express themselves and feel connected to the school.","fullyFundedDate":1778223748369,"projectUrl":"project/read-round-and-button-up/10055449/","projectTitle":"Read ’Round and Button Up!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Keller","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp247268_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1543367218556","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ekeller"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_878","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":633,"numTeachers":37,"percentFrplEligible":84,"percentAsian":8,"percentBlack":33,"percentWhite":24,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":30,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":1,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"17.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":84.9,"schoolId":878,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about William Grady Career & Technical High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"William Grady Career & Technical High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/william-e-grady-vocational-high-school/878"}
