Students are practicing strategies such as comparing texts, drawing conclusions, and making inferences about how dinosaurs lived and why they disappeared. They're also learning to connect nonfiction details to their own creative writing and class discussions, which deepens comprehension and sparks curiosity.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom now looks like students huddled together, pointing to illustrations, and eagerly sharing \"Did you know?\" facts. The dinosaur books have become a favorite choice during independent reading, and I often see them being checked out for home reading as well. One student who was reluctant to pick up a book before now races to grab the biggest dinosaur text on the shelf, carefully studying the diagrams and then proudly sharing what he's learned with his peers. Another student loves reading aloud from these texts, practicing fluency and expression with the excitement only dinosaurs can inspire.\r\n\r\nYour support has transformed reading from an assignment into an adventure.
