The supplies provided through this project have helped me create more opportunities for students to explore scientific ideas, work collaboratively, and communicate their thinking. Items such as markers, poster board, and other classroom materials may seem simple, but they give my students the tools they need to take their ideas beyond a worksheet or textbook and make their thinking visible.\r\n\r\nIn both Physical Science and Chemistry, I want students to do more than memorize facts or follow a predetermined set of steps. Inquiry-based learning asks them to develop questions, examine evidence, solve problems, and explain their reasoning. These supplies allow students to work together to develop models, organize and analyze information, share the results of investigations, and present their ideas to their classmates. Having materials readily available also means that I can design these experiences without asking students to provide their own supplies.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped make my classroom a place where students can actively participate in science rather than simply learn about it. Thank you for giving my students the resources to investigate, collaborate, create, and communicate as young scientists. Your support has made a meaningful difference in the kinds of learning experiences I am able to provide for them.","fullyFundedDate":1768753756605,"projectUrl":"project/inquiry-based-learning-tools/10037872/","projectTitle":"Inquiry-Based Learning Tools","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Santaella","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1605890"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_55134","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":324,"numTeachers":13,"percentFrplEligible":61,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":69,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":20,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":5,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"24.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":62.5,"schoolId":55134,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about White Pine High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"White Pine High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/nevada/white-pine-county-school-district/white-pine-high-school/55134"}
