It has quickly become the heart of our learning environment — a cozy, welcoming space where we gather for morning meetings, storytime, group discussions, and interactive lessons. One memorable moment was during our \"All About Me\" unit, when students sat in a circle on the rug and shared special items from home during show-and-tell. The rug helped create a sense of community and made it easier for students to listen, engage, and connect with one another. It's also been a great space for small-group reading and hands-on activities, giving our classroom a warm, home-like atmosphere that supports both learning and comfort.\r\nWhen the students first walked into the room and saw the rug, their faces lit up with joy and excitement. Many of them immediately ran over to pick out a spot and lay down or sit with friends — it was clear they felt a sense of ownership and pride in their new space. It was such a heartwarming moment! As we move forward, we're starting a new unit on seasons and weather. The rug will play a central role again, as we'll be using it to gather each day for weather observations, circle maps, and storytelling. Thanks to this donation, our classroom feels even more like a community, and I can't wait to see how much more learning and laughter will happen right on that rug.","fullyFundedDate":1749350766905,"projectUrl":"project/rolling-out-a-new-rug/9387104/","projectTitle":"Rolling Out A New Rug!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Allen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10046826"},{"teacherId":9550059,"projectId":8545827,"letterContent":"I want to take the time to thank everyone who helped in getting these materials. In education funds can get tight. Finding a way to be able to help make resources more durable and reusable is so important because some times we don't have paper for copies.
