The NeeDoh fidgets have been an amazing tool for my students to fidget in a quiet manner that is not disruptive to the learning environment.\r\n\r\nWhen my students saw the spinning sensory chair, they were beyond excited to hop on and give them a spin. Your donation has made such a difference. Many teachers in our building loved this idea. Students in 1st-5th grades have loved having their own notebooks. Being able to decorate them at the beginning of the year added an element of fun and created a sense of ownership.\r\nWe use the notebooks and writing supplies during our small group times. Students' handwriting continues to be an area where we strive to improve. Writing with pens and pencils on lined paper has really helped some kids develop better penmanship. We continue to work on these skills as we practice our phonics and reading skills. \r\nStudent notebooks will follow students in their work next year. It will be great to pick up where we left off. They will be able to look back and see how they have progressed in their spelling, handwriting, and the phonics skills they are learning. \r\nThanks again for supporting our project. It's amazing how all the materials donated have helped set us up for success.
