Do you remember sitting in class while the teacher talked and you filled out a worksheet? That time is over! Now we encourage our students to think outside the box, problem solve, and become an genuine thinker. These STEM activities help teachers take lessons to the next level. These ready to go kits will allow our students to collaborate, critically think, and build a love for learning. These STEM kits will be used while students are participating in Project Based Learning. When PBL and STEM are implemented together it allows the students to investigate and respond to an authentic problem or challenge. They are engaged and guide their own learning process! The Real World Challenge Kit has kids save a town from a flash flood, rescue a toy bear from a well, and guide a family safely across a bridge! These kits were specially developed to help students think like scientists and engineers as they explore the STEM design process and solve problems. The Design & Play STEAM Kits - Complete Set lets students create and customize real-working vehicles. The kits includes enough materials for kids to engineer 10 cars. We will use these kits whole learning about force and motion. The students will develops skills in problem solving, creativity, force and motion, and cause and effect. Students will develop an understanding of gravity, energy, friction and more as they experiment with the Force & Motion Activity Lab. There are 7 hands-on experiments. Students will develops skills in identifying and explaining that energy has the ability to cause motion or create. Students will out their building skills to the test! The earthquake simulator creates quakes in 5 levels of intensity so you can test tons of different structures. This kit will be introduced when we teach natural disasters and weather.
