Your generosity has helped to fund my Masters degree program in social emotional learning, mindfulness and yoga. I have completed week 3 of my classes. I have learned so much in such a short time! I am learning new skills and ideas, collaborating with educators across the country and beginning a special project. This special project is a wellness workshop developed for educators or students. I will be creating a wellness workshop that includes breath awareness, mindful movement, community connection, focus and creative expression. I will present this workshop to my professors and cohort of educators. \r\n\r\nWhen I start the school year in a August, I will implement mindfulness moments in the classroom to teach self awareness, self management, and social awareness. I believe my students will develop confidence, increase communication, improve relationships and learn crucial life skills. I hope to share these strategies and skills with educators in my school and district, to support their well being. Happy teachers change the world! I am excited to continue this journey of discovery and knowledge.
