The dancers couldn't wait to open the boxes, try them out, and see how bright and powerful they looked in motion. The energy and unity they brought to the team were incredible.\r\n\r\nWe used the new pink poms during home football games in October—on the sidelines and during our halftime performances for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Each time we took the field, the bright pink stood out under the lights, sparking conversations and showing our school's support for cancer awareness.\r\n\r\nFor our team, these poms represent more than just spirit gear—they're a symbol of hope and remembrance. We dedicated our performances to our teammate we lost in 2024 to ovarian cancer and to everyone touched by cancer in our community. The dancers carried that purpose into every routine and cheer, and it was powerful to see the crowd respond with so much enthusiasm and support.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving our dancers the opportunity to honor a friend, support others, and make a difference in such a visible, positive way. This project reminded all of us how meaningful it can be to combine performance with purpose.","fullyFundedDate":1755750638563,"projectUrl":"project/poms-with-a-purpose-supporting-cancer-a/9583394/","projectTitle":"Poms With a Purpose: Supporting Cancer Awareness Through Dance","teacherDisplayName":"Coach Sarah","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2057787_orig.jpg?crop=749,749,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1734569855201","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/sarah-stults"},{"teacherId":5307869,"projectId":9201250,"letterContent":"These supplies have already made such a difference!
