The gathering drum allows an entire kindergarten class to play the drum at the same time. We've been practicing keeping and counting a steady beat, as well as echoing rhythms on the drum. We've used the puppets for singing games, allowing students to focus on the puppet voice instead of feeling shy about their own.\r\n\r\nFuture uses for these materials include: using the puppets to tell a story (musical puppet show), cultural exploration of stories and songs, call and response rhythms on the drum, and so much more!
