This donation has made an impact into their learning by being able to read books in the second language they are learning while other students are able to read books in their first language ensuring with that they keep the language of their parents.\r\nThe donations of these books has been a blessing and now my students use them on a daily basis and even they checked them out from my library and take them home. This has expanded their ability to read in Spanish while is helping them to learn new vocabulary. Also, some have read the English versions of some of the books and being able to read the Spanish now has helped them have access to texts they can read and understand.\r\nThe books are what students want to read and according to their interests and that has made the reading experience more enjoyable. Having access to quality books in Spanish has helped them use what we learn in class while reading independently.\r\nThank you for your donation, it is greatly appreciated!","fullyFundedDate":1727286934686,"projectUrl":"project/bilingualism-is-our-super-power/8789611/","projectTitle":"Bilingualism is our Super Power!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lopez de Martinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6711947_orig.jpg?crop=1242,1242,x0,y596&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1566266400985","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6711947"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_127650","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":277,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":72,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":15,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":73,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":84.2,"schoolId":127650,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Western Gateway Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Western Gateway Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oklahoma/oklahoma-department-of-education/western-gateway-elementary-school/127650"}
