Students have been using the new materials to build marble runs, test balloon powered rockets, and design robot courses throughout the classroom. One exciting moment was during our marble run challenge when students worked in teams to redesign their tracks again and again to keep the marble moving longer. They quickly learned that when something didn't work, it wasn't a failure, it was a chance to improve their design, just like real engineers do.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their excitement was immediate. The balloons sparked cheers because they knew rocket races were coming, and the organized robot cart made our Dash station feel like a real engineering lab. Students were eager to start building with the LEGO Gear Bots kit and were fascinated by how gears could change speed and motion. Seeing their curiosity and excitement reminded me how powerful hands on learning can be.\r\n\r\nNext, students will apply what they've learned in larger design challenges where they will build robot obstacle courses, experiment with propulsion using balloons, and continue improving their marble run structures. These projects encourage collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking while helping students understand that innovation comes from experimenting, making mistakes, and trying again. Your support has helped create a classroom where students feel confident exploring, building, and thinking like engineers.","fullyFundedDate":1766177888059,"projectUrl":"project/ready-set-code-creative-stem-adventur/9891788/","projectTitle":"Ready, Set, Code! My current tables from my school were round and difficult to transition through. The kids had their backs to me when I was teaching, which made it difficult for them to focus and view the board. \r\n\r\nBy the first week, I noticed a huge change in how easily my students unpacked and moved around the room. The light and sturdy design of the tables changes the entire look of my classroom, as well! When one of my administrators visited the class, she commented that she was so impressed with the new look and layout. \r\n\r\nThe library/shelving has really aided in my sensory play centers.
