From the very first moment they saw the materials, my students were filled with excitement and curiosity. They eagerly rushed to try them out, and their faces lit up as they realized they could build and write complete sentences all on their own. \r\n\r\nThese materials are not only supporting their writing but are also opening doors for growth in speaking and overall English language development. The pocket charts and sentence strips give my students a hands-on, interactive way to practice, making the learning process both engaging and effective. We are currently using the magnetic strips and charts to practice writing full sentences with nouns and verbs, and it has been incredible to see their confidence grow as they take steps to writing independently. One special moment that stands out was when a student created her very first sentence and was able to read and write it by herself. \r\n\r\nThese resources have already transformed the way we learn and practice English in our classroom and allow my students to truly connect with the lessons. Moving forward, we plan to continue using the materials to expand beyond simple sentences and adding describing words and writing short paragraphs.\r\n\r\n Your generosity has opened the door for endless opportunities for growth, and I am deeply grateful for the way you are helping my students develop their English language skills with excitement and pride.","fullyFundedDate":1749137995773,"projectUrl":"project/sentences-are-awesome/9144271/","projectTitle":"Sentences Are Awesome!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hall","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp267940_orig.jpg?crop=1821,1821,x158,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1588019819058","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/desiree-hall"},{"teacherId":574254,"projectId":9148442,"letterContent":"Thank you for donating to our project, \"Pollinators All Around\". My students were so excited to see each package as they came in. We started by using the books. The students were able to read them and use them to create drawings and get information to add to their notebooks.\r\n\r\n The students eyes lit up when they entered the room and saw we had live ladybugs and butterfly chrysalis to observe. They all wanted to see them and take care of them. Each day they would run into class excited to see what changes had happened. \r\n\r\n We also received preserved bugs. The students really enjoyed looking at the bugs and finding out the names of them. The supplies you donated inspired my students to guide their own learning. They were inspired to learn more about the things they were interested in which may have been a specific pollinator or how pollination works. They will be able to take the skills they learned in this unit and apply them to other things in their lives. I will also have these materials to use to inspire students year after year.","fullyFundedDate":1745954490816,"projectUrl":"project/pollinators-all-around/9148442/","projectTitle":"Pollinators All Around","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Tubberville","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp574254_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1516321783238","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/stephanie-tubberville"},{"teacherId":2324472,"projectId":9063034,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donation to our project. Learning to take care of personal items and spaces also equips them with valuable life skills. Thanks to your generous donation of tubs and headsets, my students now have a place to call their own, and they are learning how to take responsibility for their belongings.\r\n\r\nThe headsets have quickly become a favorite among the students. Not only do they appreciate the clarity of sound, but they also love being able to practice speaking without distractions. The comfort and ease of use are especially exciting for them. Every student who has tried the headsets has mentioned how comfortable they are, how clearly they can hear, and how the microphone doesn't get in their way. By removing the discomfort of old, inadequate tools, these headsets help students succeed in their learning, particularly in practicing listening and speaking skills while they are learning the English languge. Small comforts like these allow them to focus on their education and feel comfortable in their environment.\r\n\r\nThe tubs you provided also offer students their own personal space, helping them practice responsibility and fostering a sense of ownership. With individual storage, students no longer need to waste time searching for shared materials. They can easily access their own supplies, which maximizes our learning time during class. The students are proud of their tubs and are eager to keep them organized and ready for use each day.\r\nThanks to supporters like you, we as educators are able to find creative ways to make learning both joyful and effective.
