I teach students in Kindergarten through 8th grade that struggle with reading, writing, math, and behavior. Some of my students have disabilities and require Individual Education Plans. 80% of my day is spent building my students' self esteem. Aspects of school are hard for them, and somewhere along the way, people have given them reason to doubt themselves. I teach them to advocate for themselves, ask for help, and believe that while they may struggle in some areas, they shine in others.
