The donation gave us books, puzzles, culturally diverse playdough colors, and puppets that reflect many cultures. These new materials are helping my students explore empathy, creativity, and inclusion while having fun. We are using the books for storytime to talk about kindness and understanding others, the puzzles to build teamwork and problem-solving skills, and the playdough and puppets for dramatic play and creative expression that celebrates diversity.\r\n\r\nOne memorable moment was during our first \"Puppet Kindness Show.\" Students worked in pairs to create short stories using the puppets, sharing scenarios where characters showed kindness to friends. Their excitement was contagious! When they first saw the materials, their eyes lit up, and they immediately wanted to explore every color of playdough and try out every puppet. It was clear that the donation made learning feel joyful and personal.\r\n\r\nWe plan to connect these materials to our ongoing lesson on community and friendship. This project will continue to grow, helping students practice empathy, celebrate differences, and bring their creative ideas to life in meaningful ways.","fullyFundedDate":1737406205037,"projectUrl":"project/kindness-in-colors/9072487/","projectTitle":"Kindness in Colors","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Webb","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8580139"},{"teacherId":8580139,"projectId":8635887,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom book nook!
