This coincides with an essay they are currently writing to describe the role of an organelle in an organism or topic of their choosing. One of the requirements for this project is to use at least 1 book as a source. Many were intrigued that the temperature does indeed stop increasing when the boiling point is reached, and any further energy added is used to spread the particles apart (Enthalpy of Vaporization).\r\n\r\nHonestly, not all of my students were enthusiastic about the materials arriving, but those who are taking AP Biology next year know that we have the glassware needed for any lab we will come across.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to find more labs that can use our new equipment for the next school year. The planning process this last semester took into account the fact that we were short on essential glassware. Next year's chemistry class can now do more advanced labs than this year's could manage.
