Students have been learning how to take quality photographs of their artwork through the use of proper lighting and editing tools. We are working on a more permanent station, but right now are utilizing the window and counter due to the natural light that it lets in. The students are picking up on this process very quickly! It's actually really neat because I only had to teach one student from each class on how to properly photograph and submit their work to Artsonia, and from there, they took over teaching the next student in line so that I could continue helping other students with their projects and class work. So this has not only helped them to take ownership of their own work when showcasing it, but it has also helped build their confidence in teaching skills they are learning to their peers! That's one of my favorite things to witness as a teacher. \r\nOur next goal is to work stop motion into our curriculum using the iPad. Students get very excited when they know they can make art with digital tools and technology. I can't wait to explore that lesson hopefully before the end of the school year! \r\nBut for now, we are getting plenty of use for the purpose of Artsonia and presenting our work online. As a reminder, this website serves as a fundraiser for us as well, so as students are able to publish their work, we increasingly have more opportunities to raise funds from the website! \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your help with this project!
