The 3 new state investigations are a few of the challenges. We need to have a lot of brand new to us materials and equipment. When we looked at the materials list, we got all of the supplies and made sure to get the bare minimum before going to get the nice to have items to make the labs run more efficiently.\r\n \r\nThe use of the water baths made the first year of doing the experiments from the investigations much easier. We were able to maintain a steady water temperature and not need to keep using ice and letting the water temperature fluctuate. This is much more correct in terms of lab strategies and keeping things as constant as possible.\r\n\r\nThe students didn't know that these were brand new off the bat, but when I explained that they were, the students were thankful that they had a lot of options of devices to use in their experiments.","fullyFundedDate":1762265303211,"projectUrl":"project/water-bath-tubes-floats-and-labels/9579967/","projectTitle":"Water Bath, Tubes Floats, and Labels","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Griffin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9721276_orig.jpg?crop=1639,1639,x2016,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1762268351860","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9721276"},{"teacherId":9721276,"projectId":8726525,"letterContent":"This project has allowed for me to provide a lot of visuals for my students to see and use in order to understand topics that they may struggle with. I let them think its play and not actual work because it makes them think they are doing fun stuff. I like being able to offer this to most of the students.\r\n\r\nA lot of the various items will help in the body unit where I share with them the different organs in the body and where they are located and what is their purpose and what happens if something goes wrong. This is something that I really feel passionate about. All students should know where things are inside their bodies. This is knowledge that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.","fullyFundedDate":1726597980255,"projectUrl":"project/decorations-and-decor-deepening-desire/8726525/","projectTitle":"Decorations and Decor: Deepening Desire For Discovery Science!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Griffin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9721276_orig.jpg?crop=1639,1639,x2016,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1762268351860","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9721276"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_23058","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":404,"numTeachers":41,"percentFrplEligible":80,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":88,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"9.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":23058,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Waterloo High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Waterloo High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/waterloo-central-school-district/waterloo-high-school/23058"}
