We use it every single day as a gathering place for morning meetings, read-alouds, mini-lessons, and student discussions. One of our favorite moments has been during story time, when students excitedly gather together on the rug, sit comfortably, and fully engage with the book. It has truly become the heart of our classroom and helps create a calm, welcoming space where learning can thrive.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the rug, their faces lit up with excitement. They immediately noticed how soft and cozy it was and couldn't wait to sit on it. Several students shared how special it felt to have a space just for our class, and they were proud knowing that generous donors helped make it possible. The rug instantly made our classroom feel more like a home away from home.\r\n\r\nNext, my students will continue using the rug as we strengthen our reading, writing, and discussion skills. We will use this space for partner sharing, book talks, and brainstorming ideas for upcoming writing projects.
