Seeing their excitement reminded me that creating an inviting reading environment can spark a genuine love of learning.\r\n\r\nWe use these resources every day during independent reading, small-group instruction, and literacy centers. One of my favorite moments was watching students eagerly recommend books to one another after finishing them. Many of my English learners, who were once hesitant to read independently, are now choosing books on their own and confidently discussing characters, vocabulary, and story events with their classmates. The organized and welcoming reading space has encouraged students to spend more time reading and has helped them view themselves as capable readers.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our literacy journey, students will use these books to strengthen reading comprehension, expand academic vocabulary, and make connections across subjects. We received it quickly, and were able to start using it the same week! The xylophone we got has several really cool features, including a storage compartment for mallets and fold out legs so it easily stores when we aren't using it. \r\n\r\nHaving the additional xylophone means that during class there is less downtime when a student is waiting on an instrument. In fact, for most lessons, my students don't have to wait at all, and we're able to simply rotate through many different instruments.
