For many of our students, Saturdays could easily feel like \"extra school,\" but because of your generosity, the atmosphere immediately became more welcoming, encouraging, and uplifting. The students were smiling, excited, and genuinely appreciative knowing that people they have never even met cared enough to support them and invest in their success. Something as simple as having snacks available helped students feel comfortable, motivated, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nDuring our Saturday literacy sessions, students used the time to strengthen reading comprehension skills, practice fluency, participate in collaborative discussions, and prepare for important academic goals. Having snacks available made a tremendous difference in student focus, stamina, and participation throughout the day. One special moment was watching students encourage one another during small-group reading activities while enjoying their snacks and celebrating their progress together. The environment felt positive, supportive, and full of energy. Our students were not only being academically supported, but emotionally encouraged as well.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our Saturday Scholars program continues to be a place where students feel valued, motivated, and excited to learn. We will continue using this opportunity to provide targeted literacy support, build student confidence, and create meaningful learning experiences that help students grow both academically and personally. Thank you for helping us remind our students that their education matters and that there is a community cheering them on every step of the way. Your kindness truly made an impact that extended far beyond snacks.","fullyFundedDate":1776437461958,"projectUrl":"project/saturday-scholars-need-snacks-too/10190454/","projectTitle":"Saturday Scholars Need Snacks Too!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. JENNIFER L. They were able to focus on working out their math problems, science experiences and such without worrying about the materials such as pencils that they may not have had. In addition, because math can be a challenge, it helped knowing that when things were difficult in finding the answers, they had the needed supplies to get them there. In addition, we were able to complete science projects were they got to focus on the temperatures of various items. This afforded them the opportunity to work together. \r\nI am most grateful for the impact this funding project had on my students in working together to express their thoughts, opinions and ideas, but also in knowing that their voice counts too.\r\nWe are currently working hard on basic math concepts as we anticipate the end of the year testing. Therefore, the incentives and treats given helps to push that extra mile that is needed. We are also looking forward to more experiments as the year unfolds that will get them ready for science at the next grade level. Again, thank you for your support in making our year a success!","fullyFundedDate":1763653597004,"projectUrl":"project/let-me-show-you-what-i-know/9751570/","projectTitle":"Let Me Show You What I Know","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Floyd","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1910010_orig.jpg?crop=2022,2022,x0,y386&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756640028401","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/defloyd"},{"teacherId":10233038,"projectId":9665242,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support and for helping bring these new resources into our classroom. My students were so excited when they first saw the materials arrive. Many of them immediately wanted to explore and start using everything right away. One memorable moment was during a recent classroom activity where students worked together using the new resources to complete a small project. They were able to collaborate, share ideas, and stay focused much longer than usual because they were so engaged with the materials.\r\n\r\nThe new resources have already made a big difference in how students approach their learning. When the materials were introduced, students were curious and eager to try them out. Several students commented on how much easier it was to understand the lesson with the new tools available. It created a more interactive and hands-on learning experience, which helped students feel more confident and motivated.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will continue using these resources to build on the skills we are currently working on in class. Our next steps include applying what they've learned to a larger project where they will practice problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking. Thanks to your generosity, my students now have the tools they need to keep growing and succeeding. Your support truly makes a meaningful impact in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1765854398188,"projectUrl":"project/a-safe-haven-for-stories/9665242/","projectTitle":"A Safe Haven For Stories","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Abuasbih","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10233038"},{"teacherId":1910010,"projectId":9667447,"letterContent":"This donation has helped my students to become more engaged in learning and excited about math. They are able to connect real world with the math concepts that I teach. Such as understanding the value of a dollar and how it is equivalent to 100 pennies or four quarters. They truly love the opportunity to have the images of the snacks printed, so they could see the items that are in the class store. This gives them the opportunity to make a selection in advance of purchasing. In addition, they also record their balances and keep remaining money in pouches.\r\nWhen reviewing the itemized snack menu, one student read the price as $50 dollars for a snack and before I could explain to her, another student was able to explain to her about the decimal and quickly identified the symbol used for cents, or change as they like to call it. This was a great moment because they were learning from each other. They have been assisting each other in counting their money in preparation for shopping and deducting once the purchase an item. I'm grateful that there is a selection of items for them to choose from. This has made the shopping even more exciting. Thank you again for making my fourth graders feel good about learning and getting the opportunity to see and use technology in the classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1757421783169,"projectUrl":"project/our-math-is-not-just-math-in/9667447/","projectTitle":"Our Math is not just Math in","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Floyd","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1910010_orig.jpg?crop=2022,2022,x0,y386&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756640028401","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/defloyd"},{"teacherId":10184984,"projectId":9616496,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom store.Your materials, supplies, and snacks have made a difference for my students.
