Because of you, my students have been able to have hands-on experience with professional printmaking processes. We are just starting our foray into printmaking. Students have been experimenting with different papers and inks. One especially meaningful moment for me was watching the whole class watch the first student use the press for their etching, we were all so excited when they pulled their image off the press. \r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the printing press, their reaction was awe and curiosity. Many had never seen a piece of equipment like it before. The has many questions about how it worked. For several students, this was their first experience working with large-scale art tools, and it helped them feel like \"real artists.\" The press has encouraged creativity, collaboration, and problem solving as the students work together to prepare plates, mix inks, and troubleshoot each print. \r\n\r\nNone of this would be possible without your generosity.
