Students researched real-world health gaps and designed innovative medical prototypes aimed at improving health outcomes in their communities and beyond. The markers allowed them to visually communicate complex ideas in a creative and engaging way, turning their presentations into polished products they were truly proud to share.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they were genuinely excited. Many immediately began brainstorming ways to make their displays more visually impactful, and the quality of the markers helped elevate both their creativity and confidence. One especially memorable moment was seeing students carefully enhance prototype diagrams and health awareness graphics while enthusiastically explaining how their innovations could address issues such as mental health access, access to reproductive health, and healthcare equity.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will continue refining their presentation skills while connecting their ideas to larger conversations about public health, innovation, and community impact. These materials will continue to support future interdisciplinary projects that combine research, design thinking, communication, and healthcare advocacy. Your support helped create a learning experience that was both academically meaningful and personally empowering for our students. Thank you for investing in their creativity, curiosity, and future success.","fullyFundedDate":1756924362809,"projectUrl":"project/healing-our-world-one-student-innovati/9673988/","projectTitle":"Healing Our World - One Student Innovation at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wernersbach","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9975789"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_30285","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":318,"numTeachers":12,"percentFrplEligible":42,"percentAsian":21,"percentBlack":23,"percentWhite":29,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":20,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":5,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"26.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":71.0,"schoolId":30285,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Wake Early College High School Health & Science on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Wake Early College High School Health & Science","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/wake-county-public-school-system/wake-early-clg-high-school-health-sci/30285"}
