Because of your generosity, my students were able to get hands-on with their art supplies. Students constructed miniature cakes of their own with the model magic clay and tools you purchased for my classroom. \r\n\r\nAfter viewing the famous artworks of painter, Wayne Thiebaud, and scupltor, Claes Oldenburg, students shaped, sculpted, and molded beautiful works of art that were then painted to look like edible delicacies. \r\n\r\nMy students had a wonderful time getting creative and using supplies that many had never used before. The snacks have been a good way to settle into to getting used to long afternoons, and I will also have them available to students who want to stay afterschool for extra help.
