Your generosity has made a tangible difference in our students' lives, ensuring they have access to essential hygiene products and nourishing snacks when they need them most.\r\n\r\nThe self-care closet continues to be a vital resource in our school, and with your donations, we've been able to replenish much-needed items like deodorant, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, and snacks. One powerful moment happened when a student, who had been hesitant to ask for help in the past, quietly took what they needed and later shared how much it meant to them to have access to these items without judgment. Moments like these highlight just how much your kindness impacts our students' confidence and well-being.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the newly stocked shelves, their relief and gratitude were evident. Many have shared how having these supplies readily available helps them focus on their education rather than worrying about personal needs. Moving forward, we will continue to ensure that every student who needs support has access to these resources, creating a school environment where every student feels cared for and included.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has gone beyond simply providing supplies—you've helped foster a sense of dignity and belonging for our students. Because of your support, my students now have access to tools that help them regulate their emotions, stay focused, and thrive both academically and personally.\r\n\r\nSince introducing the music, emotional wheel stickers, headphones, and fidget toys into our classroom, I've seen a noticeable shift in my students' ability to manage stress and stay engaged in their learning. Music has provided a soothing background that helps them refocus during transitions or moments of stress.\r\n\r\nThe emotional wheel stickers have been especially impactful, giving students a way to identify and express their feelings. I've seen students use them as conversation starters, leading to deeper self-awareness and stronger emotional regulation. The headphones have been a game-changer for those who struggle with sensory overload, allowing them to concentrate without being overwhelmed by noise. And the fidget toys? They have quickly become a favorite, helping students channel their energy in a way that promotes, rather than hinders, their learning.\r\n\r\nOne student, who often had difficulty staying focused due to sensory challenges, now uses headphones and a fidget tool to manage distractions. With these supports in place, they are participating more in class and showing newfound confidence in their learning.\r\n\r\nThese items have transformed our classroom into a space where students feel safe, supported, and ready to succeed. Your generosity has made a lasting difference in their lives, and I cannot thank you enough!","fullyFundedDate":1725039920974,"projectUrl":"project/embrace-emotions-empower-learning-fost/8678074/","projectTitle":"Embrace Emotions, Empower Learning: Fostering Emotional Well-being in Every Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ryan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8375498_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723081759106","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8375498"},{"teacherId":9725471,"projectId":8732616,"letterContent":"I appreciate your support in sponsoring my Yoga, Mindfulness and SEL teacher certification tuition. I am learning several practices to utilize to support my students well -being and learning. \r\n\r\nA recent highlight of my classes has been the collaboration with other like-minded students enrolled in my mindfulness classes. I have been learning from my peers and reflecting on how things are working and ways to improve. \r\n\r\nI learned how to use a Settle In practice of 3-5 collective breaths with students to get them prepared for learning and instruction. This has improved students attention and is a great hook to start class. I also learned to set intentions at the beginning of the class with our breath work such as \" breathe for peace, focus \". Setting the intention has worked wonders in the classroom. \r\n\r\nI am truly grateful for my newly acquired knowledge and practices as I am growing with my students as well.
