They give each student their own space to focus while still allowing us to work together. I've already seen students stay more engaged and independent during lessons. When my students first saw the new furniture, their faces absolutely lit up. We haven't had anything new in years, so this felt really special to them. They were thrilled to have tables they could move around, write on, and use for group projects—especially because it gave them their own space without the frustration of feeling crowded. It was such a joyful moment to see how something new and just right for their needs could make them feel so proud and excited to learn. Our next steps will be to eventually have one table for each student so that everyone can benefit from having their own space. We'll also continue exploring new ways to use the tables during lessons and build on group project efforts so students can practice collaboration while still feeling comfortable and supported.","fullyFundedDate":1742832957167,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-teamwork-modern-tables-for-c/9125743/","projectTitle":"Empowering Teamwork: Modern Tables for Collaborative Learning in Special Education","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kaib","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9929112"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_38772","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":565,"numTeachers":39,"percentFrplEligible":86,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":89,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":90.0,"schoolId":38772,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Village of Barboursville Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Village of Barboursville Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/west-virginia/cabell-county-school-district/village-of-barboursville-elementary-school/38772"}
